What PTE score do you need for Drake University?

Drake University accepts the Pearson Test of English at a minimum overall score of 48 for international undergraduate admission, including transfer students. No per-skill PTE minimum is set. The same page accepts IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT 4.0 (71 on the old scale) and Duolingo 105, alongside SAT, ACT and IB English routes.

Test rules and how to send your score

The page does not mention PTE Academic Online, PTE Core, a validity period or a Pearson code; it prints codes only for TOEFL and SAT (6168) and ACT (1302). Send your PTE score through your Pearson account. Drake says it can reach an admission decision on unofficial documents, and official documents can be emailed to admission@drake.edu.

IELTS on the same page is 6.0 overall, so PTE 48 is the PTE route to the same level.

If you fall short

Students not from an English-speaking country can also meet the requirement with SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 500, ACT English 19, or an IB HL English score of 5 to 7 (or grade A or B). The page does not describe a conditional admission or pathway program with a PTE entry point.
