How long do Duolingo English Test results take?

Duolingo says results arrive within two days of finishing the test, with an email when they are ready. If you buy a test with Faster Results, the wait drops to within 12 hours, with the same human proctoring and AI scoring. Faster Results does not guarantee a certified result and cannot be refunded. Once a test is in review, it cannot be sped up.

Faster Results: what you get

Faster Results cuts the turnaround from two days to 12 hours. Tests still get the same human proctoring and AI scoring, it does not guarantee a certified result, and the purchase is not eligible for a refund (help centre). What can delay or stop a result

If there is a problem with the ID you submitted, you resubmit a valid ID to get your result and do not need to retake the full test. If a technical error stops your test being uploaded or certified, you can retake at no extra cost if attempts remain on your credit (help centre).

If your result is not certified because of a broken rule, some cases can be appealed within 72 hours of the notice (help centre); see Duolingo English Test not certified.
