Other accepted scores
TOEFL MyBest scores are accepted; institutional TOEFL is not. PTE is listed only at 42, for AENGL 87. SAT Reading and Writing 480 with an ACT composite of 22 places you in English 101. IB English at 5 to 7 gives credit for English 101 and a 4 places you in it, but an IB transcript alone is not accepted as an English score. AP English Language and Composition at 4 or higher gives credit for English 101.
The page also lists IELTS Indicator, the TOEFL iBT Home Edition and Duolingo as test options you can take online. Edmonds verifies all English scores, and says fraudulent documents will be rejected and admission denied.

Free placement test and the English Language Institute
Without an accepted score, you can take Edmonds College's free English placement test (LOEP) online after you apply, with one retest. You need an accepted English score before you can take the maths placement test. You can also apply to the college's English Language Institute.
Requirements and placement levels change between terms. The score that binds you is the one on Edmonds College's international admissions page and in your admission letter, so check it there before you book a test.
Minimum vs competitive score
Where Edmonds College publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.
Competitive programmes, and courses with far more applicants than places, may expect more than the minimum, and some departments set their own overall or per-skill scores, often for writing or speaking. The course page has the final word, so check it before you book a test.
If you are close to the line, aim for a margin above it: one weak skill can miss the requirement even when the overall band clears it. Not sure where you stand? Take a free IELTS mock test and get a band for each skill.
