What TOEFL score do you need for Goethe University Frankfurt?

The Management Science page gives TOEFL institution code B073, says language certificates may be up to five years old, and notes that GMAT and GRE are not English proficiency tests. No section minimums or MyBest policy are given on these pages.

Goethe's English and American Studies page says home edition tests are not accepted for its English language proof, so check each programme's rule before booking the Home Edition.

On the same programme pages, IELTS Academic needs a band score of 7 (7.0).

TOEFL iBT score reports issued since January 2026 also carry a 1 to 6 band score alongside the 0 to 120 total; see our guide to the new TOEFL score scale. The page above gives only 0 to 120 figures, so that is what this guide reports.

These pages describe no conditional or pre-sessional route. They accept other proofs instead, such as UNIcert level 3 or Cambridge C1 Advanced, and the MIEEP page says you must be able to provide the certificate after admission.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Goethe University programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
