How Gonzaga handles TOEFL scores

For undergraduates, official scores must come directly from the testing agency or appear on the official high school transcript, and they must be dated within two years of the application. The catalogue names both MyBest scores and the TOEFL Home Edition as acceptable.

TOEFL iBT score reports from January 2026 also carry a 1 to 6 band score; our guide to the new TOEFL score scale explains how the two scales appear on a report.

For comparison, the catalogue asks undergraduates for IELTS 6.5, and the Gonzaga Global page lists IELTS 6.5 for Graduate Direct entry.

If your TOEFL score is below Gonzaga's level

At graduate level, Gonzaga Global places applicants on a track. With TOEFL 74 you can enter the Advanced Master's Accelerator Program, and for the Master of Accountancy a TOEFL of 68 qualifies for the Master's Accelerator Program, which runs four semesters rather than three. All tracks lead to the same degree credits.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Gonzaga programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
