What PTE score do you need for Hanze University of Applied Sciences?

Test scores more than two years old at the start of the programme are not accepted. Hanze says it does not accept online language certificates, giving IELTS Online and TOEFL iBT Home Edition as examples, so plan on a test-centre PTE Academic; PTE Core is not mentioned. For bachelor's admission, all scores must cover reading, writing, listening and speaking. The page gives a code for TOEFL (2165) but none for PTE.

The general criteria are IELTS 6.0 for bachelor's and 6.0 or 6.5 for master's depending on the programme, yet the PTE table gives one figure of 61 for both. Master's applicants should check the programme for stricter scoring.

Bachelor's applicants can be exempt with a secondary diploma from a listed country, a Dutch havo, vwo or mbo 4 diploma, an IB or European Baccalaureate, or English-taught education in Australia, English-speaking Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK or the USA. Master's exemptions are set per programme.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Hanze programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
