What IELTS score do you need for Hawaii Pacific University?

HPU also accepts SAT evidence-based reading and writing 500, AP English 3, IB English at 5, WAEC English Language at C6, and several language school levels. Two years at a high school, or one year at a college, where English is the main language of instruction (without ESL classes) also counts.

Native English speakers from listed countries, including Nigeria, who give English as their primary language on the application do not need to prove proficiency, though HPU may still ask.

HPU's graduate admissions page says international students must meet specific English requirements and that official IELTS or TOEFL reports must be sent directly to HPU by the test provider. High school records for undergraduates may not be more than five years old.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admission cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your HPU programme page and in your admission letter, so check it there before you book a test.
