What IELTS score do you need for Hochschule Wismar University of Applied Sciences?

Entrepreneurship exempts native English speakers and applicants whose degree was taught in English. It also needs German at B1, or A1 for conditional admission, with B1 gained alongside your studies at the Language Centre before the thesis.

International Management also asks for a recognised bachelor's in business administration or engineering, at least 2.0 on the German scale and 210 ECTS credits, though candidates without these can show special suitability through other criteria. Candidates from outside the EU must take TestAS for Economics in English, or the APS substitute test where appropriate.

The two Wismar pages do not fully agree: the general rule says IELTS 6.0, while Information and Electrical Engineering says 5.5. Follow your programme's entry and confirm with the International Office if you are between the two.

The standard deadlines are 15 July for the winter semester and 15 January for the summer semester. Architectural Lighting Design takes one intake a year and closes on 1 May, through the university portal.

Non-EU applicants to International Management and to Operation and Management of Maritime Systems apply through uni-assist only, which charges 75 EUR, or 30 EUR for each further university. Both have one intake a year. Only complete applications are considered, and the pages read list no pre-sessional English course.
