You can skip a test with a completed bachelor's or master's taught in English, a completed degree in English studies, or an international university entrance qualification that certifies English as the language of instruction. A German university entrance qualification also counts, as does an English module worth at least 4 ECTS credits from a previous German-language degree.

International Management and Applied Artificial Intelligence list proof of German at A2 alongside the English requirement. The Hydrogen Technology page lists no German proof, so read your own programme's page.

Applicants with a qualification from abroad apply through uni-assist, on dates that differ by programme. For winter 2027/28, Applied Artificial Intelligence, E-Commerce and Wood Technology run from 15 February to 15 July 2027, Hydrogen Technology to 15 May and Advanced Industrial Engineering from 15 to 30 April.

Tuition fees apply to international students from non-EU countries, and the application page links to the amounts. Later submission of language proof is offered only to refugees with a confirmed status, by the end of the second semester. The pages read list no pre-sessional English course.
