Where can I take IELTS or PTE in Amman?

Pearson's test centre finder listed two PTE centres in Jordan on 30 October 2026, both in Amman and both partner venues: Adoum Cultural Centre and UniHouse.

Pearson's finder does not say which tests each centre runs on which day. When you book, choose PTE Academic, PTE Academic UKVI or PTE Core first and then your city; only centres with slots for that test appear.

Read on 30 October 2026 in the providers' own listings for Amman and in Pearson's price finder with Jordan selected. Pearson charges USD 260 for PTE Academic, PTE Academic UKVI and PTE Core alike, and USD 220 for PTE Home A1, A2 or B1. IDP was JOD 5 cheaper for standard IELTS and JOD 18 cheaper for IELTS for UKVI.

Refund, transfer and payment rules are in our IELTS fee in Jordan and PTE fee in Jordan guides.

IELTS: book online with the British Council or IDP, choose Amman and pick a session; the venue address comes in your confirmation. Register with the same identity document you will bring on test day.

PTE: create a myPTE account with details that exactly match your ID, choose the test, then a centre and a slot (Pearson's booking guide). Pearson's ID policy asks for a valid passport for every PTE test, and a passport is the only ID accepted if you test outside your country of citizenship, which covers most expatriate residents.

Results: IELTS on computer results usually arrive within a few days, and Pearson sends PTE scores typically within 48 hours (PTE scoring). Before you pay, take a free IELTS mock test or a free PTE mock test to check you are ready.
