Other ways to show English
You are deemed proficient if your primary qualification, or a later postgraduate dental qualification of at least three years, was undertaken in English. Proof can be your certificate, supplement or transcripts, or an original letter from your university confirming the whole programme, including exams, was in English.
You can also rely on three years out of the last five practising as a fully registered dental professional in a member state where English is an official language; countries outside the EU with English as an official language may be considered. The registration department judges this evidence and may still ask you to sit a test.

Test rules
The Council accepts paper-based and computer-based exams but not OET@Home or IELTS Online. For OET you must authorise OET to release your results for verification; both IELTS and OET certificates are verified during registration.
The page does not mention IELTS One Skill Retake, PTE or TOEFL. The Council says it may consider other relevant information that shows an equivalent level of English.
Regulators change these rules, sometimes at short notice. Confirm the current scores on the Dental Council page before you book a test.
