What IELTS score do you need as a dietitian in New Zealand?

The Board accepts IELTS One Skill Retake. All components of the test must be passed and dated within the 12 months before the Board receives your application, which is shorter than the two years many regulators allow.

You meet the requirement without a test if English is your first or native language (the language learned first from family), or if you completed a New Zealand dietetics qualification accredited by the Board and your education provider declares you can communicate effectively in English. The Board can still ask for an interview or further information, and may require remedial English training after registration if problems are reported.
