What Duolingo score do you need for Illinois Wesleyan University?

The FAQ says score reports, Duolingo included, must be sent by your school teacher or guidance counsellor by email to international@iwu.edu, as copies from applicants are not treated as official. You can also ask the test agency to send scores, which may take two weeks to arrive.

IWU defines TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo and PTE as its English proficiency exams; SAT, ACT and other results do not meet the language requirement.

For comparison, the admission page sets IELTS at 6.5.

Neither page describes conditional admission. IWU grants a language waiver to native English speakers and to students who have attended English-medium schools for more than three years, confirmed by a letter from a school official.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Illinois Wesleyan programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
