Test rules and how to send your score
Scores must be two years old or less by the first day of class for your first term of enrolment. The page names a TOEFL code (1322) but no Pearson institution code, and does not mention PTE Academic Online or PTE Core.
On the same page, IELTS is 6 for undergraduates (6.5 for business majors) and 6.5 for graduate study. That puts PTE 45 beside IELTS 6 and PTE 53 beside IELTS 6.5; for business majors, check the PTE figure with admissions.

If you fall short
Completing ELS level 112, IU level 6 or set levels at other listed language schools also meets the requirement, and graduate applicants can use GRE verbal 149. Indiana State says it may make individual exceptions and use other tests case by case.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Indiana State programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
