JIBC TOEFL minimum
From JIBC's English requirements for international students page.
| Level or programme | TOEFL iBT minimum | Notes |

| International students, all programmes | 80 overall, 20 in each skill band | Programme rules can add to this |
How JIBC handles TOEFL scores
English tests must have been completed within 24 months of the programme start date. JIBC points international students to the admission requirements of their programme, since minimums can differ. The page gives no institution code, Home Edition or MyBest policy.
This page gives TOEFL iBT minimums on the 0 to 120 scale only. TOEFL iBT score reports issued since January 2026 also carry a 1 to 6 band score; see how the new TOEFL score scale works.
For comparison, the same page sets IELTS Academic at 6.5 overall with at least 6.0 in each skill band.

If your TOEFL score is below JIBC's level
JIBC lists English pathway partners whose programmes let you enter JIBC without a separate test, for example International Language Schools Canada (A2 level), EF Education First (C1 level) and Vancouver Community College.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your JIBC programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
