What TOEFL score do you need for John Cabot University?

JCU lists TOEFL as the internet-based Home Edition and computer-based test. Two years of study in a US-accredited, IB or UK diploma programme taught only in English, or in a listed English-speaking country, can meet the requirement without a test.

TOEFL iBT score reports issued since January 2026 also carry a 1 to 6 band score alongside the 0 to 120 total; see our guide to the new TOEFL score scale. The page above gives only 0 to 120 figures, so that is what this guide reports.

On the same page, IELTS is listed by CEFR level: C1 for admission, B2 for Enlus II and B1 for Enlus I.

A score between 42 and 94 places you in JCU's Enlus I or Enlus II English courses, according to the table. JCU also runs an internal English Language Placement Test that may be taken instead of any listed exam.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your John Cabot University programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
