Test rules at Politecnico di Milano
Both pages say Politecnico di Milano does not accept certifications the issuing body considers expired. For MSc applicants, once your test is registered and validated it stays valid as the entry requirement. If your test centre sends results to the Politecnico electronically, you do not need to submit an original certificate.
On the same pages, the IELTS minimum is 6 for the MSc and 5 for the bachelor's, and both IELTS Academic and General Training are accepted.

If your TOEFL score falls short
English-taught Architecture bachelor's students who have not shown the required English are enrolled with an English OFA (an additional learning obligation) and clear it later by submitting one of the listed certificates. The bachelor's page also exempts citizens of countries where English is the official language and holders of a school qualification taught in English.
