Using an English-taught bachelor's
Polimi's MSc requirements for foreign qualifications say all applicants must prove English, for English- and Italian-taught programmes alike, but that if your bachelor's was taught in English you may upload a document certified by your university attesting the teaching language instead of a certificate.
The same page says that for Egypt the bachelor's must have been taught in English for at least three years, and warns that Italian diplomatic representatives in Egypt might still ask for IELTS or TOEFL for pre-enrolment and the visa, so it advises checking with them.
International students admitted to English-taught master's are enrolled with an Italian-language obligation (OFA) and must certify Italian before the graduation exam.

For English-taught programmes in the Engineering and Design schools, Polimi's English-language Laurea page says you must prove English before enrolling. You are exempt as a citizen of a country where English is the official language (the page lists the UK, USA, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Malta and others) or with an upper secondary qualification obtained in English. Otherwise the minimums are IELTS Academic or General Training 5.0, TOEFL iBT 59 or 3.5, Cambridge B2 First grade C, Trinity ISE II or Oxford Test of English 111. PTE is not on this list.
The School of Architecture's English-taught programmes do not block enrolment; you are assigned an English obligation (OFA) instead. The Engineering admissions page confirms the same citizenship and English-qualification routes.
Polimi's English pages we read do not set a separate English score for the student residence permit or visa. Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Polimi programme page and in your admission decision, so check it there before you book a test.
