KTU English minimums
From KTU's bachelor's admission page and master's admission page.

Exemptions and KTU's own test
If your previous studies were fully in English and your degree certificate, transcript or a school letter shows it, KTU says an additional test may not be required. If you have no official result, KTU may give you an online English exam free of charge.
PTE and Duolingo are not mentioned on KTU's admission pages, which list Cambridge, IELTS, TOEFL or other equivalent tests.

English-taught master's at KTU
KTU's master's programme list says 32 of the 57 master's programmes open for 2026 admission are taught in English.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your KTU programme page and in your offer, so check it there before you book a test.
Minimum vs competitive score
Where Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.
Competitive programmes, and courses with far more applicants than places, may expect more than the minimum, and some departments set their own overall or per-skill scores, often for writing or speaking. The course page has the final word, so check it before you book a test.
