Test rules at Kwansei Gakuin
For the School of International Studies, scores must be from tests taken within two years before application. For TOEFL iBT tests taken on or after 21 January 2026, reports carry both scales, but eligibility is determined on the previous scale.
IELTS needs 6.0 in the handbook and in the IBA FAQ.

If your TOEFL score falls short
The handbook does not ask a test from applicants whose first language is English, defined as 12 years of English-based education in the USA, Canada, UK, Australia or New Zealand ending in high school graduation. It also accepts TOEIC L&R 730 or EIKEN Pre-1st grade.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Kwansei Gakuin programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
