Kyung Hee English Track scores
From the 2027 Spring undergraduate international admission guideline (freshmen and transfer) on Kyung Hee's international admissions page. The guideline is in Korean and marked as a draft.
| Test | Minimum |
|---|---|
| IELTS | 6.0 |
| TOEFL iBT | 80, or 4.0 if taken on or after 21 Jan 2026 |
| NEW TEPS | 327 |
| Entrance Scholarship B (100% first-semester tuition) | IELTS 7.5 or TOEFL iBT 105 (5.5 on the new scale) |
Exemptions and validity
You are exempt if you hold the nationality of a country where English is the native or official language, or completed your secondary education in such a country (for transfer applicants, secondary or university education). IELTS is valid for two years from the test date; other tests count until the validity date on the report, as of the start of online application.
Korean Track programmes use TOPIK or Kyung Hee's own Korean test instead of an English score.

2027 Spring dates
The 2nd intake notice gives online application from 26 October to 6 November 2026 (17:00 KST), with documents postmarked by 5 November 2026. We did not find a graduate IELTS minimum on Kyung Hee's international pages.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Kyung Hee programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
Minimum vs competitive score
Where Kyung Hee University publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.
Competitive programmes, and courses with far more applicants than places, may expect more than the minimum, and some departments set their own overall or per-skill scores, often for writing or speaking. The course page has the final word, so check it before you book a test.
If you are close to the line, aim for a margin above it: one weak skill can miss the requirement even when the overall band clears it. Not sure where you stand? Take a free IELTS mock test and get a band for each skill.
