Sogang English Track scores
From the 2027 Spring Sogang International Admissions Guideline linked from Sogang's admissions guide page. You must meet one of these by the submission deadline.

Korean Track and other programmes
Korean Track applicants may submit TOEFL, IELTS or TEPS (TOEFL Home Edition and MyBest accepted) as an alternative to TOPIK level 3, but must then take mandatory Korean courses; no IELTS minimum is stated for that route. Language proof is optional for the Division of Global Interdisciplinary Studies at Loyola International College.

2027 Spring dates
Online application runs from 12 October to 20 November 2026 (17:00), with results on 24 December 2026. The application fee is KRW 150,000. Your certificate must be submitted within the application period or you may be disqualified. The guideline does not state a validity period.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Sogang programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
Minimum vs competitive score
Where Sogang University publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.
Competitive programmes, and courses with far more applicants than places, may expect more than the minimum, and some departments set their own overall or per-skill scores, often for writing or speaking. The course page has the final word, so check it before you book a test.
