Lakehead Duolingo minimums by level and programme

How Lakehead handles Duolingo scores
Applicants must send their results electronically through Duolingo to Lakehead University. The undergraduate page says tests taken after July 1, 2024 must show subscores.
The graduate page says Clinical Psychology, Psychological Science, Public Health and Health Sciences also have higher requirements, set out separately.
For comparison, the same pages ask for IELTS Academic 6.5 with no score below 6.0 for most programmes.

If your Duolingo score is below the minimum
Applicants who meet admission requirements but not the English one are automatically considered through Lakehead's Academic English Program. Lakehead also lists approved Academic English pathway partners. The graduate page says the Academic English Program does not cover Nursing, the Juris Doctor, One-Year Social Work or the Two-Year Bachelor of Education, which need a test score.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Lakehead programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
