What IELTS score do you need for London Business School?

Native speaker nationals of a UKVI majority English-speaking country do not need a test. The sheets list Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, the Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, Malta, New Zealand, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, the USA and the UK. India, Pakistan and Nigeria are not on the list.

Otherwise the Admissions Committee may waive the test at its discretion. MBA applicants can ask for a waiver after at least two years in a professional role in a majority English-speaking country, or after a full-time degree taught entirely in English in one of those countries and finished within five years of the start. For the MiM, Global MiM, MAM and MFA, that degree must have been finished within two years. Exchange years do not count, and a degree from India or Pakistan taught in English does not meet this route.

Make London Business School the score recipient so it can verify your result electronically. Your English is also assessed throughout admissions, and the committee may ask you to take or retake a test even if you hold a waiver.

For a Student visa, UK Visas and Immigration asks for English at CEFR B2 for degree-level study and B1 below degree level, per gov.uk. At degree level, gov.uk adds, your university can assess your English itself and may ask you to take a different test.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your LBS programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
