Test rules and how to send your score
Upload your PTE score report at universityadmissions.se and assign the result to "University Admissions in Sweden" in your PTE account so it can be verified. PTE Academic Online results are accepted and should be uploaded. PTE Core is not mentioned.
On the same University Admissions page, English 6 is IELTS 6.5 with no section below 5.5, or a TOEFL iBT total of 4.5 with no section below 4 for tests from 21 January 2026.
Pearson has discontinued PTE Academic Online for new bookings, so plan on a test-centre PTE Academic sitting even where this page still lists the online version. See can you take PTE at home.

If you fall short
University Admissions explains that many countries' upper secondary studies meet English 6, and some university studies do too, so check the country list before booking a test. Malmö's page does not describe a pre-sessional course.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Malmö programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
