IELTS by Halle master's programme
From the programme pages for Economics: Data Science and Policy, Pharmaceutical and Industrial Biotechnology, Molecular and Cellular Biosciences, Polymer Materials Science and Christianity in Global Transformations. The last two pages note their admission chapter is a rough English translation and that only the study and examination regulations are legally binding.

Waivers
The Economics page treats you as a native speaker if you obtained your high school or bachelor's degree in Australia, Canada (excluding Quebec), Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore, the UK or the USA, with at least the final two years there. The Pharmaceutical and Industrial Biotechnology page names the same countries.
The Molecular and Cellular Biosciences and Christianity in Global Transformations pages say proof is not required if your first degree was obtained in a programme taught in English. The Polymer Materials Science page names only the German Abitur as an alternative to a test.

Validity and how to check
None of the five pages states how long a certificate stays valid. For other certificates, the biotechnology and biosciences pages accept an equivalent nationally or internationally recognised certificate at at least 75% of the maximum score. Where a page gives no IELTS band, ask the programme advisor named on it before you book.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Halle-Wittenberg programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
Minimum vs competitive score
Where Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.
Competitive programmes, and courses with far more applicants than places, may expect more than the minimum, and some departments set their own overall or per-skill scores, often for writing or speaking. The course page has the final word, so check it before you book a test.
