MIC English requirements
From MIC's English language requirements page. The same minimums apply across its programmes for international applicants.

Programmes open to international students
MIC's international undergraduate page lists the Bachelor of Arts, a BA in Drama and English and a BA in Early Childhood Care and Education at its Limerick campus, and a BA in Education, Business Studies and Accounting at MIC Thurles, which qualifies graduates to teach in Irish post-primary schools. Postgraduate options include M Ed and MA programmes.
GCE O Level or GCSE English Language at grade C or above, and the ETAPP test at C1, are also listed. MIC says results in other examinations may be accepted.

If you fall short
MIC offers short-term English language programmes for students who do not meet the requirements above.
Requirements vary by programme and change between intakes. The score that binds you is the one on your MIC programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
Minimum vs competitive score
Where Mary Immaculate College (MIC) publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.
Competitive programmes, and courses with far more applicants than places, may expect more than the minimum, and some departments set their own overall or per-skill scores, often for writing or speaking. The course page has the final word, so check it before you book a test.
