What IELTS score do you need for Mercy University?

Mercy waives the test for citizens of, or students schooled in English in, listed countries such as Canada, Australia, the UK, Ireland, South Africa and Singapore. Other routes include two full years of English at an American high school, 12 or more American college credits with a 2.0 GPA or a C in English, SAT Critical Reading of 500, AP English at 3, IB English B at 4, or Cambridge English at 160 for undergraduates and 180 for graduates.

Graduate applicants can also qualify through two consecutive years of full-time US study or a US bachelor's or first master's degree, or a degree from an English-medium institution in an English-speaking country. Mercy may still ask for documents to verify your English.

Mercy lists approved ESL schools for conditional admission, including EF, ELS, EC English, Kaplan and Oxford International in New York, plus an Oxford International pathway programme.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admission cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Mercy programme page and in your admission letter, so check it there before you book a test.
