What IELTS score do you need for Pace University?

You must test if you earned your bachelor's in a country where English is not the official language and English is not your first language; students in the US for under six years must also submit an exam. Pace accepts TOEFL iBT (MyBest included), TOEFL Essentials, IELTS, PTE, Duolingo, Trinity ISE and Cambridge. The School of Education and some health programs need IELTS 7.0; Communication and Digital Media and some health programs need 7.5. See graduate requirements.

The admissions page states new-scale TOEFL minimums (4.0 or 5.0), while the catalog lists the old-scale figures in the table. Citizens of listed English-official countries, such as Australia, Canada, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and the UK, are exempt; India is not on the list. Accepted students take University placement exams and may be placed in intensive English for a semester. See the catalog.

Applicants below direct-entry scores may be offered the Global Pathways Program: one to three semesters of English and academic courses before the master's, earning up to 17 credits. Undergraduate direct entry needs TOEFL 4.0 (80 before 21 January 2026), IELTS 6.5, PTE 54, Duolingo 115, TOEFL Essentials 9.0 or KITE 462, with results no more than two years old.
