MGA English requirements
From MGA's international English proficiency page. The page does not split the requirement by level.
| Programme | IELTS Academic | Other tests |
|---|---|---|
| International applicants | 6.0 | TOEFL iBT 69, PTE Academic 53, MET 55, Cambridge 169, EIKEN Pre-1, SAT EBRW 480, ACT English 17 |
Other ways to meet the requirement
School results also count: Cambridge IGCSE or O level English at D or better, UK GCSE English at C or better, UK GCE A-level English at C or better, and Edexcel International A-level or IGCSE English at D or better.
Applicants who have attended a US institution of higher education are outside this requirement. The page says IELTS Indicator scores were accepted only through December 2023.

How to check
Graduate programme pages, such as the Master of Science in Management, list English proficiency as a required document for international applicants.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admission cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your MGA programme page and in your admission letter, so check it there before you book a test.
Minimum vs competitive score
Where Middle Georgia State University publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.
Competitive programmes, and courses with far more applicants than places, may expect more than the minimum, and some departments set their own overall or per-skill scores, often for writing or speaking. The course page has the final word, so check it before you book a test.
If you are close to the line, aim for a margin above it: one weak skill can miss the requirement even when the overall band clears it. Not sure where you stand? Take a free IELTS mock test and get a band for each skill.
