Other ways to show English
The graduate page also accepts a degree earned in the United States, or citizenship of a country where the only official language is English. The graduate page lists TOEFL, IELTS and Duolingo as accepted tests; it does not list PTE.
MSOE's TOEFL code is 1476. Undergraduates also need to take the ALEKS maths assessment after admission.

Programme rules and how to check
Some graduate programmes add their own requirements, such as letters of recommendation, a resume or a personal statement; MSOE links these from the graduate requirements page. Questions go to international@msoe.edu.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admission cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your MSOE programme page and in your admission letter, so check it there before you book a test.
Minimum vs competitive score
Where Milwaukee School of Engineering publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.
Competitive programmes, and courses with far more applicants than places, may expect more than the minimum, and some departments set their own overall or per-skill scores, often for writing or speaking. The course page has the final word, so check it before you book a test.

What IELTS score does MSOE require?+
IELTS 6.5 with no band below 6.0 for undergraduates and 7.0 with no band below 6.5 for graduate programmes.
Does MSOE accept Duolingo?+
Yes. Duolingo 115 with subscores of 100 for undergraduates, and 130 with subscores of 115 for graduate study.
Does MSOE accept PTE?+
The undergraduate page accepts PTE 56. The graduate page lists TOEFL, IELTS and Duolingo only.
Can I skip the English test for an MSOE master's?+
The graduate page accepts a US degree or citizenship of a country where English is the only official language instead of a test.
