Nankai English scores

English-medium degrees
Applicants who hold a degree from a university where classes are taught completely in English may submit a certificate from that university confirming it. The FAQ repeats the IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 85 rule and allows a certificate from the school for those whose earlier degree was taught in English. PTE and Duolingo are not named on these pages.

Study terms and fees
Nankai accepts international students for full-time study only. Master's programmes take two to three years and PhDs at least four. The application fee is 600 RMB per programme and is not refundable. After reviewing documents, academic colleges may add an exam or interview, and the language rules of some programmes follow special agreements.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Nankai programme page and in your offer, so check it there before you book a test.
Minimum vs competitive score
Where Nankai University publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.
Competitive programmes, and courses with far more applicants than places, may expect more than the minimum, and some departments set their own overall or per-skill scores, often for writing or speaking. The course page has the final word, so check it before you book a test.
