NUMed TOEFL iBT minimums
From NUMed's English language requirements page, which sets each test against two IELTS levels.

Test rules at NUMed
NUMed says it is mandatory for all international students to sit IELTS, TOEFL or an equivalent test to join an undergraduate programme. The TOEFL iBT and the TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition are listed together at the same scores.
On the same page, IELTS is 7.0 for the MBBS and 6.5 for BMS, SES and BDS.

If your TOEFL score falls short
The page lists PTE Academic (69 or 62), C1 Advanced and C2 Proficiency (185 or 176) as the other accepted tests. It does not describe a pre-sessional route for TOEFL.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your NUMed programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.

What TOEFL score does NUMed need for medicine?+
TOEFL iBT 100 for the MBBS, or 5.0 for tests taken after 21 January 2026.
What TOEFL score does NUMed need for other degrees?+
90, or 4.5 on the new scale, for Biomedical Sciences, Sport and Exercise Science and Dental Surgery.
Does NUMed accept the TOEFL Home Edition?+
Yes. The TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition is listed at the same scores as the TOEFL iBT.
Do all international students need an English test for NUMed?+
Yes. NUMed says an IELTS, TOEFL or equivalent test is mandatory for international undergraduates.
