Who accepts it

Password says the test is accepted by hundreds of universities and colleges for pathway, undergraduate and postgraduate admission. Its list of accepting institutions includes, in the UK, Anglia Ruskin University London, Cardiff Metropolitan University, Glasgow Caledonian University, the University of Hertfordshire and the University of Huddersfield, and abroad, the University of Tasmania, University Canada West and SRH University in Germany. If your institution is not listed, ask it directly.

Password says Skills Plus fulfils UK Home Office requirements for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses (Password). That fits gov.uk's rule that a Higher Education Provider can assess English itself for degree-level Student visas (gov.uk). It is not a SELT: gov.uk's list of approved SELT providers does not include Password (gov.uk).

What you need on test day

A valid passport is the only accepted ID, and photocopies are refused. You need a computer or laptop (not a tablet or phone) with Windows 10 or later or macOS 11 Big Sur or later, a supported browser, at least 2 Mbps internet, and an external webcam, phone camera or mirror so the proctor can see your screen and keyboard (Password).

You may have one sheet of plain paper, a pen or pencil and a water bottle. Log in 10 minutes early; if you are more than 30 minutes late you cannot take the test (Password). Password also runs other tests, such as Password Knowledge and Writing, which institutions use for admission and placement (Password). Rules and fees change.
