What makes a summary score zero
Pearson's Core page says that if your summary misinterprets the topic or purpose of the lecture, or has fewer than 5 or more than 40 words, you get no score points on any of the five factors. Between those limits, 20–30 words earns full Form marks and writing outside it lowers the score (Pearson).
The spelling scale above is quoted as printed in the PTE Core Score Guide: its top band reads 'one spelling/typing error'.

How it differs from PTE Academic
PTE Academic's Summarize Spoken Text uses a 60–90 second recording, gives 10 minutes and wants 50–70 words, with zero Form below 40 or above 100 words (Academic Listening page). Its content scale runs 0–4, and full spelling marks need correct spelling: one error scores 1 and more than one scores 0 (Score Guide).
