Test rules and the IELTS comparison
The central page writes "Pearson PTE" and the foundation page writes "Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE A)". Neither mentions PTE Academic Online, PTE Core, a validity period or a Pearson sending method. The TOEFL code on the page (8498) is for TOEFL only, not PTE.
On the central list, IELTS 5.5 or above sits alongside PTE 59. The foundation page asks for IELTS 5 or above.

If your PTE score falls short
The General English Foundation Year is RTU's route for applicants below degree level; after it, students must pass an international exam at minimum B2 to move on to their full-time programme. If your entire previous education was in English, you may upload a letter or transcript confirming this instead, though RTU can still ask for a certificate. Some programme pages list their own tests, so check yours.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your RTU programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
