RAU Duolingo minimums

How RAU handles Duolingo scores
Only Duolingo tests taken after 1 July 2024 are listed. RAU's preferred test is IELTS Academic, and IELTS Academic UKVI for students who need a visa.
Students who need a Student visa for a foundation degree, and are not from a majority English-speaking country, must take a UKVI SELT such as UKVI IELTS Academic, LanguageCert Academic UKVI, PTE Academic UKVI or Trinity ISE.
For comparison, the same page sets undergraduate IELTS at 6.0 with no element below 5.5 and taught postgraduate at 6.5 with no element below 5.5.

If your Duolingo score is below the line
If your test is not on the list, RAU asks you to contact admissions@rau.ac.uk to discuss it.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your RAU programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
