RWTH Aachen TOEFL minimums by programme
RWTH's language requirements page points to its language requirements overview (PDF), which assigns each programme to a paragraph of the examination regulations. The figures below are the TOEFL iBT lines for each English level in that PDF.

RWTH Aachen TOEFL test rules
RWTH does not accept TOEFL MyBest scores; the required minimum must be achieved in a single test session. It only accepts tests whose results the provider can verify, so make sure RWTH is authorised as a recipient of your results and that the test is still within its validity period. Applicants with a high school diploma or degree from the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada or the United States are exempt, but citizenship alone does not count.
For comparison, the same PDF sets IELTS at 6.0 for the 90 level and 7.0 for the 100 level.

If your TOEFL score is below RWTH's level
The PDF lists a placement test at the RWTH Language Center (B2.2.1 or higher, or C1.1.1 for the higher list) among the accepted proofs, and the language page says students already enrolled at RWTH may use a placement test; contact the Language Center information desk. New applicants otherwise need a test that meets the level.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your RWTH programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
