What IELTS score do you need for RWTH Aachen University?

The overview lists each English-taught master's with the level it needs. A few examples from the current list:

RWTH exempts applicants whose school diploma or degree was earned in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada or the United States. Citizenship alone does not count. Its page for international master's applicants adds that an English-taught degree from another country does not qualify for a waiver, so a medium-of-instruction letter is not accepted on its own.

The one exception is narrow. For programmes marked in the overview, including Data Science, an English bachelor's thesis or seminar paper can prove English, but the examination board must review it on application. A placement test at the RWTH Language Center is open only to students already enrolled.
