Test rules and how to send your score

Undergraduate results must be sent from your MyPTE account. Graduate applicants send a scan of their unofficial PTE result, with name and test number visible, through a Graduate Studies ticket with their name and GA or student number, and SFU allows at least a week to verify it. Neither page mentions PTE Academic Online or PTE Core.

The graduate page says scores more than two years old cannot be used and that minimums must be met in a single test. At both levels SFU's IELTS level is 6.5 with no part below 6.0, matching PTE 65 with 60s.

If you fall short

The pages do not set a PTE entry score for an SFU English pathway. Some graduate programmes ask for more than the university minimum, and if your programme does, you must meet its level.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your SFU programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
