What TOEFL score do you need for the Singapore Institute of Technology?

Both guides call 90 the acceptable score and add TOEFL results under the Supplementary Qualification section of the online form. Neither gives section minimums, a validity period, MyBest or Home Edition rules, or an institution code.

TOEFL iBT score reports issued since January 2026 also carry a 1 to 6 band score alongside the 0 to 120 total; see our guide to the new TOEFL score scale. The page above gives only 0 to 120 figures, so that is what this guide reports.

In the same tables, the IELTS Academic acceptable score is 6.5.

The guides list other acceptable English results instead, including Cambridge C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency and a Cambridge O Level English grade, and the undergraduate guide also lists the AST English Test. No conditional entry is described.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your SIT programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
