How SEMO handles TOEFL scores

Results must be within two years of your intended programme start date. First-time undergraduate and graduate admission decisions can be made on unofficial scores, but official scores are still required, and you cannot enrol in a second term or receive scholarship benefits until they arrive. Send TOEFL scores to code 6655. SEMO says it may verify scores directly with testing agencies.

For comparison, the same page asks undergraduates for IELTS Academic 5.5 and graduate applicants for IELTS Academic 6.0.

If your TOEFL score is below SEMO's level

Undergraduates with TOEFL 52 to 60 can apply as pathway applicants, and completing Level 5 of SEMO's Intensive English Program (IEP) meets the undergraduate requirement. Graduate applicants can meet it by completing the IEP's GradCAP.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your SEMO programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
