When Indian and other applicants need no test
SP Jain's rule is that every applicant must have completed their education in English and provide certified evidence. A test is only required from applicants whose most recent qualification was not completed in English. For the BBA, Indian applicants need CBSE, ISC or a state board HSC with 60% or more.
There is a catch for the Sydney campus. SP Jain says that international students studying in Sydney, including those whose last qualification was in English, may need to meet the English test requirements set by the Australian Government for the student visa. Duolingo is listed only for the BBA.

Campuses, deadlines and how to check
The BBA moves between campuses: year 1 in Singapore, Mumbai (through its BMP route) or Dubai, year 2 in Dubai or Singapore, and years 3 and 4 in Sydney. SP Jain does not enrol students under 18 at the Sydney campus.
For the Master of Global Business, test scores for the February 2027 intake must be submitted by 15 January 2027.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your SP Jain course page and in your offer, so check it there before you book a test.
Minimum vs competitive score
Where SP Jain School of Global Management publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.
Competitive programmes, and courses with far more applicants than places, may expect more than the minimum, and some departments set their own overall or per-skill scores, often for writing or speaking. The course page has the final word, so check it before you book a test.
