| EAP Level 5 (2 EAP and 2 academic courses) | 115 | No sub-score below 100 |
| EAP Level 4 (4 EAP and 1 academic course) | 100 | No sub-score below 90 |
| EAP Level 3 | 90 | Overall |
| Master's programmes | Not accepted | TRU does not accept Duolingo |
How TRU handles Duolingo scores
TRU says you must meet or exceed a level on every part of the score to be placed at that level. A good sub-score in one area will not make up for a weak one in another.
For comparison, the same page asks for IELTS 6.5 with no band below 6.0 for direct undergraduate entry.

If your Duolingo score is below 125
If you miss direct entry, TRU recommends writing its English Placement Test to set your EAP placement, but you will not be placed below the level your scores already reach. The placement test is written one week before classes begin.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your TRU programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
