What IELTS score do you need for Tilburg University?

Tilburg names only IELTS, TOEFL and Cambridge, so PTE Academic and Duolingo results will not get you in. It does not accept IELTS Online, and it accepts only scores from a single test date, so IELTS One Skill Retake and TOEFL MyBest scores are out. TOEFL iBT Home Edition is accepted only in exceptional circumstances, such as test centres being closed or unsafe.

You need the result when you apply: Tilburg will not consider an application without English results that meet the requirement, unless you are exempt. For February 2027 results must be no older than two years before the programme starts; for September 2027 no older than two years at the time of application.

For February 2027 you are exempt only if you completed your entire bachelor's or master's in Australia, Canada (except Quebec), Ireland, New Zealand, the UK or the US. From the September 2027 intake, a bachelor's or master's taught entirely in English can exempt you, proven by a transcript, diploma supplement or official university statement naming English as the language of instruction.

That opens the door for applicants with English-medium degrees from countries such as India, but Tilburg adds that an exemption is granted only if the qualification shows English at C1 level or above, and it may verify your documents. Applications for the fall intake close on 1 April for non-EEA nationals.
