How UEA handles Duolingo scores
UEA says that from July 2024 only the Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening component scores are used to assess English proficiency. Duolingo results are valid for 2 years from the course start date.

If your Duolingo score is below the line
You may be exempt if you are a national of a listed majority English-speaking country, or hold a degree at least equal to a UK bachelor's taught in one of the listed countries. A PG Certificate or PG Diploma does not count for this waiver.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your UEA programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
