What TOEFL score do you need for UMass Lowell?

The graduate admission standards page says thresholds are set by each academic department, lists the TOEFL iBT Home Edition among accepted tests, and asks for official scores from the testing agency to code 3911. Engineering applicants send TOEFL scores to EngineeringCAS using code B887. The undergraduate page uses code 3911 and says sending scores there is free.

For comparison, the undergraduate page sets IELTS at 6.5, and the Business page sets IELTS at 7.0.

UMass Lowell partners with ASC English to prepare applicants who meet every other criterion but not the English requirement. The international graduate admissions page says this applies below TOEFL 79 or IELTS 6.5, and that some business programmes need TOEFL 100. ASC English Level 6 is accepted by all departments.
