What IELTS score do you need for UMass Lowell?

UMass Lowell accepts TOEFL, TOEFL iBT Home Edition, IELTS, Duolingo, PTE Academic or ASC English School Level 6, and says the thresholds are set by each academic department. The international graduate page gives some business programs as TOEFL 100 and IELTS 7.5, higher than the 7.0 on the Business college page, so confirm with the program. UMass Lowell partners with ASC English to prepare applicants who meet every criterion except English; formal conditional admission is not stated.

First-year applicants need Duolingo 110, IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 79, ASC English level 6 or Pearson 61 (56 for transfers). Citizens of Australia, Canada (except Quebec), the UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Guyana and English-speaking countries of Africa and the West Indies are exempt; India is not named.
