What TOEFL score do you need for UNC Charlotte?

The graduate page accepts MyBest scores but asks you to send all of your individual scores, not just the MyBest report. Official scores must come directly from ETS to school code 5105; no department code is needed. The undergraduate page uses the same code and says English test scores are only valid for two years.

For comparison, the undergraduate page sets IELTS at 6.0 with 5.0 in each band, and the graduate page sets IELTS at 6.5.

Undergraduates can apply for conditional admission and improve their English at UNC Charlotte's English Language Training Institute (ELTI) before starting degree classes. Graduate applicants below the minimum cannot be admitted, but may enrol at ELTI and apply to the Graduate School once they meet the requirement.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your UNC Charlotte programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
