What Duolingo score do you need for UNC Wilmington?

The undergraduate page lists the Duolingo English Test among four accepted tests, with TOEFL, IELTS and the Pearson Test of English. It gives no Duolingo validity period or sending instructions.

The Data Science and AI MS page says a language test is required unless you are a lawful permanent resident, a native English speaker, or hold a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited US institution.

For comparison, the undergraduate page sets IELTS at 6.0, and the Data Science and AI MS page lists IELTS 6.5 for acceptance.

Undergraduates can also meet the requirement through UNCW's English Language Center (ELC); the page lists ELC completion among its waivers. Other waivers include an SAT critical reading score of 450, an ACT reading score of 20, or two US college English composition courses at B or higher.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your UNC Wilmington programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
